Good response to Glasgow artistic office development

The new property development along the Clyde meant to provide space for Glasgow’s artistic community has been let about 50% now with the addition of two more firms signing a lease agreement according to the area’s developer, Downtown Space. The two new lets were acquired in the Pacific Quay Hub despite expectations that the building may remain empty due to the economic recession.

Safehinge, a design business will occupy 180 sq ft with its two office space and Caboodl, a social media company, will take over 450 sq ft split among four employees.

Both companies will be able to enjoy the hi-tech and modern shared office space design in the Hub which was just finished in February of this year. The building space is known as the ‘heart of the new Digital Media Quarter’ and provides about 65,000 sq ft of office space altogether available for rent in chunks of letting packages that range from 7922sq ft to 129sq ft – click desk space to rent for more information on availability of this type of office space.

Digital Design Studio will help feel the vacancies in September when seventy staff from the company move into let office space creating a total occupancy for the building that numbers over 100. Currently, the hub also is home to Shed Media, the Glasgow School of art’s Digital Design Studio, and several IT development firms.

Other companies that are housed within the Hub area include the Glasgow Science Centre, SECC, Galaxy Scotland radio, BBC Scotland, STV, and Film City Studios leading Downtown Space to market the Hub as a complement to the area’s creative focus.
