Formal events have their own regulations and conferences to abide by and graduation events are no exception. The graduation traditions people follow nowadays were established a long time ago. The custom of graduation ceremonies started centuries back when institutions were still taking shape. They never have essential heating then. During the fourteenth century in England, statues of some colleges limited ‘excess in apparel’ and judged that long gowns should be worn. In the 16th century when Henry VIII was in power, Cambridge and Oxford Universities then started ruling exact academic attire. The universities had power over the dressing codes.
