The Inland Empire Needs a Record Store

What the Inland Empire needs is a cool record store like Amoeba in LA. Yes there’s the Internet and you can download songs of off your favorite music site, but some songs are harder to find. There’s still the experience of going to a record shop. Whether it’s browsing the CD’s and discovering something new, or finding that one special EP that has a mix that you always wanted, I don’t mind record stores at all.

The record store needs to be a in cool location like in a downtown area, like Rhino Records in Claremont. The store could be in downtown Riverside, but it’s so boring out there and there is nothing to do after you bought your CD’s. Besides, we all know Riverside doesn’t want to be a cool place to live. They must want their old antique stores and homeless wandering around the streets. A person can’t even build anything around there anyways considering the historical society will muck things up for wanted change.

Maybe downtown Redlands could be a place for a cool record store, but then again this is the Inland Empire and nothing is really cool out here to begin with. If they ever get something going out here and a cool record store does come around, they should have this Inland Empire web design firm do their website.
